2021 was yet another roller coaster to maneuver but the comfort found in these familiar characters and storylines definitely helped ease that ride just a bit! The leaps some of these debuts took to the second season in writing and character development were noteworthy in particular for David Makes Man, Twenties,Wu Tang Chronicles, and The Equalizer. David Makes Man is a truly three dimensional way of story telling and they really weaved David’s thoughts and emotions so well to the audience. Twenties storylines were so current & really digging deeper into each woman’s life to be told while having some of the best song placements much like how Insecure has its entire series run saying goodbye to that series was very emotional but so gratifying to see through to the end! Really enjoying Queen Latifah & her connections with her entire cast along with some very crucial story arcs. Wu-Tang Chronicles casting is on point and seeing the story of how 36 Chambers came about is a must see for any Wu fan! Was great to see so many shows centering their women characters and being able to just be going through so many new twists and turns without becoming stale or predictable!
